Yes, data states that the crime rate, both violent and non-violent, has dropped dramatically in the last 20 years or so. However, there is no proof at all that this drop has any relationship to gun ownership.

I have presented a great deal of data in the past that say the decrease in crime has absolutely NOTHING to do with the number of guns on the street. Below are
