Movies (Warning, Spoilers Guaranteed)

I saw it this past weekend, and I'm still on the fence about it. I love the books, and was excited to hear that a movie adaptation was finally on the way, but wasn't too sure about 8 books getting compressed into one movie. I liked the action sequences and the casting choices for Walter and Roland. Wasn't too thrilled that Jake was the central focus of the movie, however. Originally Posted by JdeHog

It seems a questionable decision to pack all that into one movie. Would likely have been better just as an adaptation of the first book to set up a franchise.

Also, from what I've read, the whole thing is supposed to serve as a 'sequel' to the books, so the producers will have a little more creative freedom.
Kingsman 2 coming out, I hope it's good. Loved the first one.

"It" sure had a great opening weekend. I read somewhere it did more this weekend than the entire theatrical run of The Dark Tower.
If anyone likes zombie movies. "Train to Busan" on Netflix is a really good one if you can tolerate subtitles (it's Korean).
Watched The Greatest Showman at the new Starlight Theater in Bentonville. Nice theater. The movie didn't really grab me all that much but it was definitely well done. I noticed that the sound in the theater was superb.
For anybody who's feeling nostalgic, Back to the Future is on HBO Now.

EDIT: The whole trilogy is on there!
I enjoyed "Upgrade" last night. Good movie. "The First Purge" wasn't bad either.

Looking for some good horrors to watch, though "Upgrade" was really much more of a Sci-Fi flick.
