It's the kickoff to crawfish season and I'm looking for a great location.

I'll be bouncing all over Houston, so location is not an issue.

Need fresh, not previously frozen.

I hate these places that boil the crawfish in barely seasoned water then sprinkle seasoning all over them once they take them out. It's the cheap way of doing it and the crawfish end up tasting like crap.
Another reason they taste like crap is because the people who don't know how to boil them in enough seasoning don't know how to purge them either.

I agree with you, Boardman.

Do crawfish correctly, or don't do them at all!
Guidry's in Deer Park. As hole in the wall as they come. Tight up front but plenty of room in the rear...

When I lived out near Kemah, Alan's Swamp Shack was my favorite place. Also loved that they had their food truck, so I didn't have to eat at the restaurant.

+2 on Crosby the Crawfish Hut (BYOB) & Crawfish Shack (might have changed names, has full bar). It’s just a tad early for crawfish, they are available but smaller than what you get during peak season.

Eating spicy crawfish and going down on someone immediately after is a big no no. Trust me from experience that shit burns. But seriously Biggie had some good suggestions. Take a look at my past production to get your mouth watering. Hope you have a good visit

I like crawfish and noodles, and the seafood shoppe is good too. Ya know pappaduex made pretty good crawfish at one point too.
Manvel, honore’s Cajun cafe. Some of the best I’ve had.

Thank you so much for the recommendations!

I got my crawfish "fix" while I was in town. And have a full list of places to try when I return.
