Today's porn has hotter girls, and hotter action....BUT...way too much POV stuff out there. I hate the shaky camerawork, the noise the camera's internal microphone makes when the guy starts handling the camera, and the camera position of most of them which is far too close. When I watch porn, I like to imagine I'm the camera, and I have no desire to be an inch-and-a-half from the guy's dick.
That closeup stuff also applies to professional porn too. I don't need to "be" right there, and I especially don't need to be looking up from between the guy's legs while the girl slobbers spit on the camera lens. I like to watch at angles that show off the girls [hot] body a majority of the scent time. Change angles? Zoom in and out? Sure, both of those are cool, but don't overdo it or do it in a way that distracts from the action. Cameramen are like referees of a game: their best work is when they're virtually unnoticeable out there. It seems like some cameramen want to make SURE you know there's a cameraman there. As far as the OP goes, I gotta lean towards modern porn. That said, I do occasionally enjoy a throwback. Of the old days, I like the hair pies, though better when it's tamed. The chicka-wah music was cool, sometimes overdone. The acting was sometimes overdone, but sometimes actually pretty good, too. The IOP of old porn was better. There was more MISH scenes.
