Oh, now I remember. Thank goodness for AA! Naw, I never went through that drill except for once when I accompanied an alcoholic relative to make sure he went. But I saw what I needed to see: keep drinking, and somebody's gonna make you go to a bunch of damn committee meetings and hug a bunch of damn strangers. Worse than a sharp stick in the eye.

I too have accompanied a relative to a meeting before.
Stanger hugging is one thing if you come to the realization that you really do need their help. It's totally different when the DA or judge imposes it upon your ass for just being dumb(even if it was under the influence).

When you're drunck they aren't strangers, just friends you haven't met yet.

I am known as a lightweight when it comes to drinking; one glass of wine or a beer will do it for me. It's funny because I am such a big guy that it takes so little to get me tipsy. Oh man...cannot for the life of me keep myself from staring at your avatar subcilla!
