personally......... My opinion is there should be an alert posted by the OP regarding the Provider's lack of discretion......

this happened to me once.. and since i have employment outside of the hobby.. when a hobbyiest recognized me at costco and said hi.. my MOM asked who that was...i merely replied "oh a client" ..left it at that..changed the subject..

but it did make me feel a bit aqward.. never want the two worlds to collide!

My memory for people sucks and my SO knows it.... or at least I let think it does. I have run into people I didn't want to have to explain about and my standard answer is something like I think I know her from the Navy/School/insert place here, but I'm not sure...
Keep it brief and move on... make it something to laugh about and its easier to forget.
