Ohio has carry laws similar to Texas when it comes to conceal carry and open carry.
All the venue where the Convention will be held has to do is post a correctly formatted sign(as mandated by State Law), prohibiting firearms, and anybody entering while carrying will have violated an already existing law.
It would seem common sense would prevail in this case. I am as pro 2d Amendment as anybody. But I fail to see the logic in allowing thousands of armed people into a venue where the possibility of tempers flaring could be paramount.
What I am about to say is just my opinion.......when a person has a CHL, and carries solely for the protection of his self and others and does not advertise it, he is carrying on the thoughts of the Founding Fathers in instituting the People's right to keep and bear arms in our Bill of Rights.
However, when that person insist on making a public spectacle of being armed, he becomes a buffoon who simply is saying....."look at me".
Firearms are serious business. Let's treat them as such.
