The White Man With Black Blood That I Admire Most In Life and In Death

His grandest plan failed miserably at Harpers Ferry.

Nevertheless, model citizens in the 1800's were never executed by hanging for their crimes.

I'm just saying it makes perfect sense that he's a role model of yours. Originally Posted by Slitlikr

John Brown ignited the spark that lead to the Civil War which is exactly what he said he wanted all along. He actually proved to be right in that bloodshed was the only way to end slavery once and for all. All this makes Harpers Ferry a sacrificial lamb. I'm sure he'd take the trade off if he could see what his efforts led to. What I find so fascinating about John is that he wasnt always that courageous he said he found his courage in seeing how the African slaves in Jaimaica, Haiti, and other Caribbean islands fiercely fought off their slave masters and fought to the death even though they were not armed. He said it instilled a pride in him that he taught to his sons and he was determined to use his whiteness to stand with the Africans and help them fight even if it cost his life. That my friend is worth being hanged for. Its courage at a time when it was unheard of....he was clearly ahead of his time and made of a special moral character.

There's not a man alive today that can match such a spirit!!!

He definitely earned his heavenly reward;-)

You're advising us what was okay and normal for the 1800's - slavery was considered okay and normal then.

If you're a religious fanatic then of course you'd think slavery was ok. In fact religious nuts used the scriptures to justify slavery. But raping women and killing children I'm guessing you think that was ok to right? because it was considered ok and normal as well.

Just admit..John Brown was cut from a different moral cloth..not to many men like him. He and others where part of a select group of whites that created the underground railroad that helped slaves reach freedom in the North and into Canada. Those were all great people. Worthy of imitation
Let's not get overly emotional about this. Isn't killing slave holders a good thing? Wasnt arming slaves pretty awesome? Dont cry about this my friend..this is a history lesson my friend. Some like talking music history, sports history, sex history..I like talking American history

Please quote me ANYWHERE you find members on here going on and on about American "black" history....don't you like to say "our" people...again you like to divide NOT unite.

The oppressed "blacks" and not the ones that don't cry about it...because you love to do a lot of crying about it. The blacks that call you out you marginalize them by calling them " uncle toms".
You love to talk about a terrible time in American history in which the people living today have no connection to....160 YEARS IN THE PAST!!!
Why don't you address why you're such a hateful black...I'm sure you won't do that...doesn't fit you template!!
I haven't heard anything positive from you EVER!!

In fact I will submit to you that this thread in and of itself is positive. I truly believe good hearted, integrity filled men of Good will see it as positive. Only those who believe in fundamentalist christian puritanism see it as negative. Anyone not acknowledging that killing slave holders and helping men attain to freedom are men with wicked and twisted reasonings...there is nothing wrong with a white person standing up saying that people who supported slavery are disgusting humans...by you attacking me all your doing is tacitly showing everyone that you condone slavery and support the confederacy. If I was a racist I would have never acknowledged Mr. John Brown...I would have never openly espoused my love and admiration for a white man and yet i did.

And the legacy of slavery is what I'm bringing to the forefront. That legacy is ghettos, lack of equity and equality, social injustice, rigged legal system, socioeconomic nd other systemic conditions that lead to high crime and other misfortunes. Having to work twice as hard to get half as much. So yes slavery still exists today just in a slightly different form..and until yall are ready to have a serious discussion which isn't just about what is wrong in the black community but also what in the white community creates these conditions then we will keep talking about it.

Do you know how many poor white people are in the same conditions ?

All your posts contain the same themes, and the same attitudes. Have you ever considered yourself to be a human being - not a black human being ?

You sound like the NFL and NBA players who moan that they work on a plantation - yet they earn millions of dollars, and are free to leave anytime they want.

I cant say that I'm surprised by your behavior DJ. When Warhead was attacking you...you was all in my PM's trying to find an alley. Crying for help... Now that he's banned you're on the attack again. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Have you no shame sir?
