As far as I can see, this site, others like it and the provider world in general... some people have beef. You never know who (or how) you may have slighted someone or why they would have something against you. Some providers don't exchange reference information because they don't like (for whatever reason) the provider asking the question. Some don't exchange a reference because they don't like (for whatever reason) the client who is needing the reference. Some don't exchange a reference because they may feel that communicating with other providers comes at the risk of added drama... and from what I've seen on this site since becoming a moderator, that can be exceedingly true.I agree with you FireSerpant.
But, if you find that you're constantly not getting someone's provider reference, just don't accept calls from people who want to use that person as a reference and be clear to the client as to why you require then to reference someone else.
