Bullshit - it was liberal as hell in England before Maggie Thatcher! Originally Posted by Jewish Lawyer

Waiting for someone to blame Obama for this....

Btw...for the majority of the last 80 years...the Parlimentary control was in the hands of the conservatives...for some reason they don't see the need to make it mandatory to hand at least one gun for every person living in that country.... Originally Posted by Raa1965

Also, the Brits don't have a written constitution, so there is no fundamental principle of law like the Second Amendment for the Brits to argue about.

I guess LL is a literalist. We'll remember that when post again. Yes, you can own a gun in London but the hoops that have to be jumped through, fees that have to paid, IF you qualify to do so pretty much render London a gun free zone. Do the police have guns in London (you better tell Pierce Morgan) yes, they do but not all of them. This is a photo of a tactical unit (you know like a SWAT team) and not the regular Bobbie. Why did it take 20 minutes for someone with a weapon to respond? Give me a country where people walk around armed and these guys wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes much less to make a porno.

So to conclude; there is a small, very small likelihood that a English citizen will be armed during a terrorist attack. Though I guess it is "possible" and I guess it's possible that Batman could swing in to save the day (that's not the real Batman, yes, it is. Well it looks like him)

Why did it take 20 minutes for someone with a weapon to respond? He was near a military barracks .. which is where he was headed.

Give me a country where people walk around armed and these guys wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes much less to make a porno. They had already run him over with a car and in less than 10 seconds a person is dead with a meat cleaver.

So to conclude; there is a small, very small likelihood that a English citizen will be armed during a terrorist attack. See below.

The "drum roll" of arming citizens to solve or prevent such attacks is "music to the ears" of "gun enthusiasts who are want-a-be civilian cops," but 95% of them lack the training and experience to respond efficiently, accurately, and swiftly enough to stop anything. Using examples like this to support arming citizens sounds good on paper (or the internet) but that's where it ends.

One of these crazy bastards did have a pistol. If they had simply run over and shot the soldier in the head, there might not even be a news story here (or a thread here) about it .... but ....

they got what they wanted. An international stage. You contribute to it.

Brutal, fatal cleaver assault in London called a terrorist attack

British Prime David Cameron called it a terrorist attack.
"We will never buckle to terror," Cameron wrote on Twitter.

http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/22/world/...-london-attack

PM Cameron had the audacity to immediately call it a "terrorist attack" -- not "work place violence" -- and he did not blame the terrorist attack on a video!
Did he infer that England had it coming and apologize for centuries of colonialism?

Essence must be spinning in his grave!
Colonialism had very little to do with the root causes of this attack; the blame is on decades of an immigration policy that purposefully admitted the worse of the worse into the country..........in the name of compassion and political correctness................

Britain thought that if Muslims lived in England; they would be loved by their admitted enemies !

America is going down the same path under Obama.
The weight and balance of a meat cleaver combined with the quality of steel which allows it to be honed to an extremely sharp edge makes it a lethal weapon. As long as society is allowed to possess meat cleavers, this senseless vioolence will be continued.

It is far too easy to purchase meat cleavers and this pariah must be removed from civilized society. We should all be peaceful vegetarians anyway.

The Queen will protect the UK and Barry will protect us.
