Any kind of noise other than what the two of us make is distracting, whether music, TV, whatever. However, TV is the big blunder. I can take background music as long as it is cool and not too loud; any genre from pop to jazz to symphonic (if a provider put on rap, hip-hop or techno - even quieter, I would be out the door).
play fiona apple channel for lovin music. usually a great channel for that.
I prefer to play classical and/or soft jazz during an appointment. Music that's romantic and soothing to the soul is like foreplay for the ears...LOL

Nowadays with streaming music, Pandora and online radio works pretty well. Hell, you can ask the guy what song he likes and it'll spew out a genre that he may like. Certainly better than having the TV blaring in the background.

What intrigues me is when providers use preset CDs or playlists and there are no clocks in sight.

I've been on Pandora and playing a station based off of "Enigma" and my doubles partner commented that it sounds like "temple music" and not sexy music. Any comments? Originally Posted by Naughty_Piper

No background is fine with me but if provided and unpleasant I'd ask for changes or off. Read a review where Piper got complimented for playing a fiddler on CD. I think you were hosting and I wondered if you would have brought some sound with you for my booking. One of the things I look forward to is being exposed to new things and getting to know more about the individuals I spend quality time with.
Jazz/classical playing in the background really does make you a better lover ...

I have had more than several clients play "enigma" station during a session.
I love it, it seems to make sex much more erotic!

Turn it the hell off. Chances are what you like and what I like are not the same. chances are the only sounds I want to hear are moans.

Some light trance or more post-rock stuff like This Will Destroy You, The Last Days, The End of Science will work as will slower jazz.

Put on something like Two Steps From Hell though and it'll seem like we're fucking to save the human race. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2hRTLdvdnk

My first time was with Enigma playing in the background. I think it would be awesome to relive that a bit.

I prefer some appropriate music, but different people have different ideas of what is "appropriate". The best answer is, I think, to have some varied genres and then ask him before he arrives. Music (or not) very much is a part of the atmosphere and it need not be the same each visit with a lady. If you set the music, it can be a large message from the first moment I arrive.

If it is at my place and I have music playing it is typically smooth jazz, native American flute, classical guitar, etc., unless I know she likes something else. Ibrahim Ferrer's Dos Gardenias has usually worked well. Same with R Carlos Nakai, especially when accompanied by candles & massage oil.
