I recall in the 60's an "instruction" manual prepared to demonstrate to rural folks in the S.E. Asia how to use SOAP to improve their "personal" hygiene, and they chose to demonstrate by illustrations of elephants bathing in the river. The "booklet" was wrapped around the soap and distributed to the locals. Upon the return of those trying to "civilize" the locals they discovered them using the soap to lather up their elephants.
