Blood pressure medicine and ED

Just a note: Kidney problems cause elevated blood pressure. For whatever reason many physicians do not request a kidney function test when a patient "presents" with elevated blood pressure. Some regularly prescribed "blood" medicines have an adverse affect on kidneys that are already ailing. The "problem" with kidney disease is that you (normally) have 2 of them and one will begin to take over the other, so eventually (if left undetected) the testing levels may not reveal a dramatic or alarming result.

Request a BUN test with your blood work, which should be done 3 to 4 times a year anyway if taking blood meds. Sometimes physicians are treating "symptoms" and not conditions.
