Trading cards may not be it, and the raffle thing TravelingMan had seemed to have some drawbacks too (but it also was a neat idea while it was running and I participated.)

Those were some of the prizes in Cracker Jacks back in the good ol' days. They were toys you assembled by (excuse the phrase) "fitting the pieces into the slots."
