CL wasn't very useful anyway. You only have to be burned once to decide to use reviewed providers. I'm grateful for the existence of this forum.

What's wrong with CL? Sure the Adult category was awful, but its a great free venue to get rid of your junk at home. I sold lot of things which would have been impossible to get rid of on places like ebay.

I heard there was a time on CL before "Adult", before "Erotic", when providers posted in the Personals section, junking it up for people seeking amateur action. I thought that had been the reason for creating the section. Now instead of a single category where ads can be monitored, they'll be spread out through various lists where they're harder to find. Classic.

My memory was wrong.
I had an unease that something wasn't right. This was physical paper, it couldn't have been CL. Maybe City or something else back then.
