bourbons and single malt / single barrel

Any of the 4 roses variations, Stagg is my Fav. Woodford is great too. For not real expensive but still tasty Buffalo Trace and Knob Creek. Anything Single barrel, Barrel Proof or small batch is usually a step above the regular brand.

Ever since reopening Bruichladdich has been building momentum & influencing present Islay Single Malt perceptions. If you are into the " Peatiness" of Islay, their Octomore line would be right up your ally.

Last time I bought a bottle of Bourbon it was Maker's Mark. I thought it was good. But, what do I know? They have a few different varieties now, but I chose the original. I believe I heard the Maker's Mark company was taken over by Jim Beam.

However, it wasn't cheap (for me, anyway, working for starvation wages!). I remember paying around $54 including tax.
Could've almost had a "Funnel" for that price!
