How long should it take to respond to an appointment request?

I think Wicked was just meaning in general.. I dont think she said that to be rude so to speak.. we have a life.. as some guys expect you to get back instantly. Usually this is some sort of second income for many ladies.. We are hookers not a brick and mortar store..

For some ladies this is their life, they can respond in an instant.. for others its a part-time job. They have kids, other businesses, etc.

Dude, cool down. I was making a general comment which was in NO way rude. FYI, I was replying to the OP's questions he put forth to the community, not to you.

As to your other remarks.

No reality needs to be injected where I'm concerned. I'm well aware of what the *hobby* entails. And I'll move on with my life as I so choose. Not because you say so.

This hobby of mine, is not my life so I don't care about your remarks of *my now losing a lot of guys*.

I say NO more than I say yes. Because It's MY hobby and it's not my life nor my business. Therefore your right. Being a provider is NOT an important part of my life. As I'm not a provider. I'm a companion/lover.
And thus being a companion/lover IS an ENJOYABLE part of my hobby life.

And FYI,
There ARE men in this hobby who DO expect ladies to reply in an instant. Damn straight there are. It's to those *type* of men, in which my general comment was made.

You, may not be one of them. But they're out there in droves.

If you didn't want honest feedback from the members then you shouldn't have posted the ?'s. No need for you to insult someone as you did.

The comments I made, May not apply to you. But they do apply to many hobbyist who do expect ladies to drop everything and see them ASAP.

Stunning, I'm just think of all the therapy you saved me! I totally whole heartedly disagree with you! First of all I never said I expect someone to "DROP EVERYTHING"! Perhaps you should go back and reread my post! Two and three weeks for a provider to respond to a PM!? Give me a fringing break. Oh guess what, I just got a reply from 5 weeks ago with an apology from a provider in Houston. It would seem she was on an extended vacation and NOW needs money! Perhaps you might consider things like common decency, respect, kindness or even customer service! While I certainly understand as a provider you owe no one anything, how about treating people the way you would like to be treated? Does it sound like I'm mad that some one isn't selling me my candy? Hell no! It would be nice to hear the candy store is sold out or closed so the candy store right down the street can get my business! Hobbyist have personal lives also not just providers! If there is one thing I can't stand its "ANYONE" who thinks there shit don't stink! While I single out no one, this holier than thou attitude is disgraceful. We’re all human being deserving of respect, and when you lose sight of that... look out! Pay back is a bitch! I can just imagine a provider having multiple cancellations causing them financial hardship? Oh wait a minute, that happens doesn't it? I read about it all the time. We don't owe each other anything? I respectfully thank you for your input. But I am certainly grateful it is not shared by many a provider. Thanks for the "Move On" it really hit the spot! Originally Posted by Still Looking

Some ladies know how to run a successful business and too many don't.
As I'm sure some of you suspected I want to share my personal experience with trying to schedule an appointment via PM'S. Since I have no other choice as they do not list a phone number I must PM. I have sent out 25 PM'S in the last three weeks in Austin and San Antonio. ONLY one responded. An appointment was scheduled then the provider canceled. The rest have yet to respond. Five have NOT opened the PM'S yet and they are all 10-14 days old! What's funny is I see some of them posting yet they don't have time to respond to PM'S? I wish ECCIE could implement a way to purge inactive providers! Even more frustrating is when I see reviews coming in while I wait for responses?! You probably think I want to post their names and give them the kiss my ass happy face, but that’s not it! I think that the providers that weighed in here no doubt are taking care of business. But what’s the deal with the rest of the providers? I'll be in Las Vegas on Thursday. I sent out 8 PM'S trying to secure an appointment! NO RESPONSES! And the providers wonder why we still use BP! Thank goodness for ATFS, but trying to navigate uncharted territory is getting to be a night mirror!

Oh and spare me the move on posts! Thanks! Originally Posted by Still Looking

I admit, I'm kind of surprised by some of the vehemence or irked tones I see some taking on. But then again, it's all textual-- so no point in getting huffy one way or another.

Are there some women who don't respond for like three weeks to a reference request and make me wonder? Sure. But then again, there are some guys who I'll send a question about an appointment prebooked a week or two, and then see they haven't opened their email for a week. That can be annoying too.

And then I'm sure there are those that email too much, both on the side of providers and hobbyists.

There's a whole range here, as in all variables-- Some people don't care that a provider takes awhile, and some do.

Since some of us women seem to be doing the whole, "Well I personally do xyz..." I can chime in and say I like to stay pretty on top of things. I check my various work emails several times a day. However, things can get screwed up. For example: I went to Dallas this weekend. I had a lot of great guys contact me (and for those who didn't see me, I really do want to catch you next time should you have the time and inclination.) However, holiday weekend+work+my phone deciding to die permanently meant that by the time the second day of Dallas rolled around, all I wanted to do was mellow out, grab a Kanagaroo burger from the Twisted Root, and chill out. I contacted everyone (missed one guy who I talked to today) and I didn't cancel on any finalized plans. But I did email in the afternoon and let a couple gents know that we could casually meet up, but I was being lazy due to the crazy consternation that had occurred the night before phone-wise.

So, I think when you're writing a lady, you should always keep in mind a few things:
1. She does have other things going on, especially if she's touring.
2. Something out of the ordinary might have occurred that makes her be less "in the loop" communication-wise.
3. If she's done something that's disappointed you, communicate that, listen to her explanation (if she has one) and then either move on, or schedule with her the next time she's in town.
4. Consider how you're emailing her also (or calling, or texting.) Maybe your form of communication is turning her off and she's weighing the odds of meeting you. Sometimes guys are WAY too casual about sending emails or texts, and if I haven't met a person...over familiarity is a turn off, so I might start hedging a bit.
and finally,
5. There's a lot of people on both sides of the hobbying playing field. We're not pizzas to be ordered on a moment's notice, and sometimes things happen. Certainly we're not interchangeable with one another as one lady will offer a different experience than another. However, I have no doubt that MOST hobbyists have a list of women they want to see (for the first time), or want to see again. If things don't happen with one woman, either cross her off the list, or just assume something was going on with her life or work at the time, and see if (when she's available) if you have the inclination to see her.

All that being said-- some days of the week, I'm glued to the computer because I'm writing my guys and I see stuff in my inbox immediately. Other days, I'm on the road, and the last thing I want to do (though most times I do it) is go through my inbox.

I say patience is key. Understanding is key. Compassion and a sense of humor is key. And sometimes, chalking things up to miscommunication, bad luck, or bad timing is also necessary.

I think I have these qualities. The gentlemen that I love the most to visit with have these qualities. I would hope that more men did as well. Since I don't talk to that many providers except a few key favorites, I have no clue if gentlemen are wishing that more providers had these qualities as well.

And that's about all I can say about that

On behalf of all us hobbyist who sincerely appreciate you providers for the professional way you do business, THANK YOU! Thank you for the supportive PM'S! I certainly understand you not wanting to go on record!

The OP's stated issue is that his "PM's" are not getting responses. There could be several reasons for this. Not everyone is wrapped up in this board and may generally ignore it, especially the PM function Some people don't want to transact business on a "public" website using PM's. Who knows the reasons why the PM's are ignored?

But a clear thinking person might try a different approach and not get their panties in a bunch. How about using the contact function on an escort's website? Maybe try P411 if that is an option? Some ladies have electronic mail capabilities. Or you could pick up the phone. If none of these alternatives work then you are either dealing with slacker escort communities or someone has a PR problem. We don't want to dwell on that thought.

Maybe the HTC (Hooker Trade Commission) will adopt response time regulations, but until that happens the proper response time is however long you accept before you say" fugetaboutit" and move on. Promptness is wonderful but patience is its own reward.
