Vegas is quickly becoming one of my favorite stateside cities. The food alone keeps me coming back. The shows! The people watching... yay.
And all at great prices, if you are savy.

Most of the time will probably be spent gambling and golfing (hobbying may be tough).

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!! Originally Posted by biggdogg

Most have cigar bars now days and lots of great food, defiantly check out the Wynn/Encore my favorites will be spending Thanksgiving in Vegas at the Encore .

There is a great Irish Pub in the walk way from Luxor to Mandalay Bay, Wolfgang Puck is a favorite in MGM Grand as well as Bobbie Flays in Caesars and the Italian place in New York New York(great breakfast)

Also take the bus south and a great little outdoor shopping area , mall stuff plus some decent restaurants, a Guitar Center( A must for me) and a Whole Foods.

And as Lola said visit downtown especially at night!! Just see as much as possible it is our favorite place to go!!

Another restaurant I like, although it's not as outstanding as LS, is Bouchon at the Venetian. A great place to eat at the bar when you're by yourself. Nice wine list. Also Noodle Asia at the Venetian is very good.

Very expensive, but good, is Picasso, at the Bellagio.

I'll be back in Vegas soon on a pool table in the Rivera for the National Championships. Last year I was there and had a blast so it is great to be going again this year. If you enjoy billiards and want to see something interesting then visit the main tournament room, look over the sea of tables and possibly watch me kick some ass.

As far as eating goes I was not very pleased with the food in Vegas. The food there is very bland which doesn't work for me so other than a small hole in the wall taco place on the strip just north of the Rivera I can't recommend any place.

Two good bars to visit in Las Vegas. Have a good time.

Ghostbar - Palms

Tao - Venetian
Thanks for all the recommendations!! Going to try and hit as many as possible. Leaving Friday, looking forward to getting back to the tables!!
I just moved from Vegas before Easter.. Hard rock pool is disgusting! Full of just gross! It used to be really good, not so much anymore..

Play blackjack at Ballys. In the high limit slots area they have 7 deck show games with lax rules. Min $25. Two tables. Dealer stays on all 17s, double any first two, 3:2, split aces 4x, etc. Only place on the strip.

To save some money and still have good meals - download the groupon app.

Nude pools are overrated. All of the GORGEOUS vegas girls won't be there. They tan at the salon or their own pool. Be really careful of having too many drinks and meeting a casino girl. Google trick roll. You may think you are above this, but these girls have gotten the best of the men. It's just what they do.

Have fun!!

Oh and if you hit big at the tables and like Mediterranean seafood - check out Bartolotta. Pricey, but my favorite.
