When I was 17(!) my mother gave me a book. I read it. Boring, already knew it. A week later she asked if I'd read it, I said yeah, is there a test? She laughed.
Gave my kids the talk before the oldest was 10, the next oldest 9, etc.. in case they were getting the info from their siblings. They made instant friends with the toughest kids in school.
