OH2 banning IP's again

I honestly was somewhat sympathetic to you because I'm a Patrick Mahomme guy but Cp3( thank s unique) you come across as a very negative person. I see why you got banned before and honestly I would have made the ban for longer if I had my say
It's quite easy to block IPs to the point that it's automated. Originally Posted by Unique_Carpenter

I only found manual steps to block IPs https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/...anning_options Do you recall the Austin member who simply turned his phone to airplane mode then turned it off to acquire a new IP address and create a new user?

@OP a VPN may be a good work around. It may also be intermittent. Who know with a site that is struggling to restore its email for RTMs?

I could not get on one day last week. It kept giving me the banned IP address message.

I had to go to my settings & enter Ourhome2.net as a safe site & that got me right back in.
Ya'll are overthinking this... I seriously doubt that OH2's ancient platform has some AI capability to block IP's - ever think of bandwidth? Instead of "This web site is down, try again later." A "your IP is banned" pops up and everybody runs around like their head and their ass is on fire due to co-location and start screaming about conspiracy theories.

I highly doubt that the sysops for OH2 bought the "scalable" server renting package from AWS, Microsoft Exchange, or Cisco. Probable hosted somewhere where people kill their neighbor's kids and cook them over dried dung 'cause they can -

But that would be pure speculation.
I have the IP Banned issue on OH2. Will try another time

Its like in Texas certain porn sites want you to verify with a government ID that you are old enough.. my concern is that of the 4-5 sites that I used to visit that doing it, they do not seem to use the same company for verification. And I don't trust porn sites who are now wanting to collect real info just to see them.

Way too many other sites out there for free.
