I think a lot of people get their panties in a wad when someone points out the obvious. In the cases of WK'ing and threADs when they are called on it they get all defensive and start making excuses as to why that is not the case. Surely can't read all of the posts in this thread... but I am intrigued by the beginning of another whiny thread that in some way will bait others to bare their fangs and start drooling, pissing and flinging feces at each other.

I'm certainly not trying to engage anybody here, but it seems that at least a couple of regular posters in the Co-Ed Forum poked a hornet's nest and drove some of the female members of our community (last time I looked there were female members of ECCIE) over the line.

From what I've read in the past 36 hours or so, those who generally dish it out have a problem taking it. Especially in public. And especially from women.

Maybe the blunt end of the sword cuts both ways...

I only get into it with people in a few threads.... (Yeah right, people whose opinions don't fall in line with yours or your rat pack.).

There is a difference between being blunt and indulging in personal attacks. The risk is that there are many who see no difference and go from one to the other very quickly.

Speaking as a mod, I have no problem with the former, and I have been overly lax in not dealing with the latter.

(And there are people of both genders who can attest that I don't play favorites when I do deal with the latter.)

I got pointed yesterday for my response to Vkmaster calling everyone a bunch of 5th graders. I thought I was fairly tame in my response too I could have been a lot more vile. It just is starting to feel like everyone is getting ultra sensitive around here.
