Scientists ‘shocked’ and ‘alarmed’ at what’s in the mRNA shots

There are plenty of people who suffered less from Covid after getting vax and a good many of us who never got it at all. Agree with the flu shot comparisons which is accurate enough and as the technology develops mRNA could be a pathway to great things.

For me much rather try and minimize the effects should I get covid than suffer the long term aftereffects so many around me had endured. Most of them were otherwise healthy and active before and their struggle to fully recover is ongoing and unpleasant Originally Posted by DNinja69

BTW, I do have one family member suffering from "long Covid". Rather serious long-lasting side effects from having Covid.

DEFINITION

Long COVID

Some people who have been infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 can experience long-term effects from their infection, known as Long COVID or Post-COVID Conditions (PCC). Long COVID is broadly defined as signs, symptoms, and conditions that continue or develop after acute COVID-19 infection.

An interesting read.

It looks like best defense against long-covid is getting vaccinated in the first place per the article.

Not a lot of info on treatment for long-covid

I will continue to get Covid vaccines as recommended by my physician. Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

Unlike most people I’ve never had the disease, to my knowledge at least. So I’m relying on the vaccines entirely for immunity. If memory serves me correctly you did get the disease earlier this year, so if that’s correct I guess it would enter into your and your physician’s calculation of whether you should get the new booster.

Why? Nothing says they work or help. In fact, this years shot is already outdated by the new variant. Originally Posted by farmstud60

But scientists are predicting that one is a flash in the pan, that won’t infect many people.
