Oh, my goodness, thank you lads and lassies, for such splendid birthday wishes, both Celtic and canine!
I had a delightful birthday, lunch at my favorite restaurant with a long-time gentleman friend, and I tipped a few (well, quite a few) Jamesons back last night at a pub with another sexy sir I've known a while. It has been a glorious week, and I feel like the leprechauns emptied out their pot o' gold as I've received some wonderful presents; a lighter engraved with a Celtic dragon, a bottle of Redbreast 12, 3 bottles of Jameson (perish the thought that I run out THIS week), a birthday cake decorated with chihuahuas (um, the plastic toy type, not real ones devouring the icing), a bottle of my favorite perfume, a beautiful dragon bracelet I shall be wearing this weekend, a carved dragon jewelry box to guard my treasure, bat earrings for Halloween, a teddy bear in a cute costume, and my birthday revelry isn't over yet!
I shall continue celebrating this afternoon with a fine fellow, then to bed early (to actually sleep) for tomorrow is opening day of the 40th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival , and I shall be accompanying a noble lord who has been close to my breast for several years now. (And who is bringing me breakfast in bed from an awesome bakery with the most delicious cinnamon rolls in the world.) If you see a tall redheaded wench in green with a happy dragon on her shoulder, say "Slainte!"
Interesting that ALL of the gentlemen I'm sharing my birthday with are from the land of ECCIE, and I feel like a VERY lucky lassie to be treated like a queen this week. You are most appreciated by this tart Irish tart.
Thank you again, pleasure seekers and ladies who provide bliss!
