I've maintained since CHLs have existed in Texas their owners' guns protect me. Crooks are less likely to pounce on someone for fear they may be packing. Don't believe me? Look at the drop in crime in states since they've passed similar legislation.I find it hard to find any correlation between CHLs and violent crime. In other threads on this issue, I have posted articles citing many reasons for the drop in crime rates, one of which is the issuance of CHLs, but hardly the primary one. Here are a few. I did not hand pick the articles to prove anything. The one constant -- not one article mentions the increase in CHL holders as one of the reasons for the drop in the crime rate.
