I’m inclined to side with detained as appropriate terminology.

I agree, the cops here were not out of line. Guy did not comply to a reasonable order and caused escalation.


Cops don't know who you are. If they can't see through your windows, they are going to be on guard. If you raise the window after you lower them, they are going to be on guard even more. They can't see if you are grabbing your wallet or a gun.

Well that's pretty shitty. I understand where they are coming from, that can hurt the team, but... Nobody is above the law. The player was 100% in the wrong, both breaking the law by speeding and putting peoples' lives at risk, as well as not complying with a lawful order.
If anything it is abuse of authority, abuse of position or something like that to handwave him out of whatever punishment would be in line with what he did.


Say it again class. Nobody. Is. Above. The. Law.
