It is not unusual for an actress, actor, or director to refuse to hire someone conservative. Tim Allen just lost his show after Trump was elected. Jane Fonda refused to work with Burt Lancaster on Old Gringo. Alison Janney said that they would never allow a conservative actor on the cast of The West Wing. Radio is not the industry numbnuts. Radio is its own industry which depends on the listeners to set the price of advertising revenue. Radio was acting in it's own self interest.
