NCNS with Mia Maxwell (unfortunately)

You know, crap comes up unexpectedly for all of us - at least those of us with a SO and very busy jobs that are not shift workers. I have had to reschedule or cancel several times, but not one time have I ever blew someone off.

Once I know I cannot meet, I tell them and try to tell why (don't have to remember lies that way). It's almost always one of two things...
1) SO was gonna be out of pocket for a window long enough for play time and now her ass is not busy.
2) Crap came up at work and I cannot break free.

But, I reschedule and go on with life... Rarely been last minute and it's generally with repeat providers who know my work schedule is very volatile.

That being said, these same providers have to reschedule on me as much or more than I do with them. BUT, they do not NCNS, they give me the same courtesy and communicate.

The ones that blow me off are generally traveling providers or providers I try to see out of state. Or the occasional local that I've not previously seen.

Bottom line is build rapport, treat them with respect and then communication is generally a non-issue. Originally Posted by uca479

Ive often heard several providers say, "this is a job" "this is business". That being said, I treat the provider the same way with anybody else i hire. If they do a terrible job or do not show up for the job I was going to hire them to do, I feel its important to get the word out of my experience with that provider. I very very very much appreciate when a call or text is made stating they cannot make the appointment for whatever reason. Just dont leave me hanging. Its annoying.
