Why do Spas/agencies say no black women?

Then go in and prove them wrong .

I've been to a spa on the north side that had a couple very attractive AA providers. This was about 2 years ago so idk if they still have AA providers.

Also agencies take 50% so if the girl is $200-$300 she's only getting $100-150 so I always wondered why some men just don't choose an independent provider instead? The split is either 60/100 or 60/120. 100 doesn't seem like much to you but a couple clients a day is $1,000 a week post-tax which is 4X better than $8/hr pre-tax.

A lot of ladies do try to leave and some are successful, but more aren't. Again, language, money, residency issues can impact going indy. You have to come up with deposits, furniture, utilities. Agencies need to move location probably every six months at the latest due to high traffic and nosy neighbors. Don't forget these same issues almost require paying for a screening/scheduling service.

If you speak/write/read English good enough to communicate, have some common sense and some type of drive and vision to run a "business" there should be No reason why you would EVER want to work for an agency. At least not in Houston.

Thank God I worked for the most decent "Latin" agency here, at least as far rates, locations and also the owner has more of a humanitarian side and is more understanding and respectful to her girls.
I never worked at any of the other places but I know girls who worked there and still work there, and trust me is not easy for them.
Not only they have some of the WORST clientele, and low class incalls, but also the way they're treated by their management... won't go in to details but let's just say is not something you want to be part of.

But as some already mentioned a lot of this girls don't really have a choice, because of some of the reasons already mentioned such as lack of English or really they just don't know better, just like I didn't. BUT when you know better you DO BETTER.
There's nothing like having complete control of every aspect of your business, who you see, what rates you want to work with, what services, WHEN you want to work etc.

I strongly believe a cute and smart girl like you doesn't need to work for anybody. Just my 2 cents...

I definitely prefer low volume. It's just easier on my body, but I wouldn't mind working at a place we're the clients just walk in and select. (I have a competitive nature) and sometimes I just get so bored being by myself(which is why i like changing things up). I did notice a lot of bust with spas, but I've never seen any Orientals involved. And the whole hookers not being dependable and adhd blah blah is so true, I've worked around some of those providers and I just sit back and think like "how the hell are you surviving? "

Thank you =^). And I do enjoy working for myself, sometimes I just would like a change of scene every once in awhile. When I first started out, last year, I was independent(still am) and my goodness was it confusing and overwhelming but I wasn't gfe, so I didn't want to work for anyone. Seemed like that was expected and wanted to do it on my own terms. My family is actually made up of entrepreneurs, and we definitely love to control lol.

Oh really? I can't tell by your profile picture lol. I was actually in the galleria area at the doubletree for...maybe 4 days the end of July and beginning of August? And worked from the hotel.
