I don't usually count, but on one occasion I'm glad I did. I met a very well known man in his hotel room (because he was too much a public figure to go out) and I had thought it was a two hour appointment. He left the envelope in plain sight and went into the bathroom. So, I counted and discovered he had paid for a 4 hour date. This really helped me not rush things too quickly and so instead of undressing and jumping him, we sat down and talked for a while before looking over the room service menu.
