What is your opinion on body art?

As an artist, I totally appreciate body art, as long as that's what it is---ART

As for mine, every tattoo I have has a significant meaning behind it, and is done in a tasteful fashion, and in moderation...

Most of the meanings behind mine have some kind of representation of my family or my spiritual side...
There is a twenty something waitress at a Ft. Worth establishment that has Chinese symbols on both wrists, me being the smartass I am asked her if they meant good luck? She grinned and turned around to show me the tattoo above her ass cheeks that said "lucky you".

I find it amazing that people will put something permanent on their body that isn't of sufficient quality that they wouldn't even temporarily put on their wall. I guess I've just never seen "body art." It all just looks like a bad tattoo to me. You might as well put this on your body:



It's not any more (or less) attractive than any others, but at least it's sort of clever.
