Opinions are like ass holes. Nobody's opinion stinks to them! So much safer to learn to use the dictionary! Of course, curvey is not in the dictionary.

ok what irks me is when a lady presents herself in her showcase as say curvy.

now curvy in my definition ........ Originally Posted by satan666

much like an advertisement saying a "BEST STEAK YOU EVER HAD"...matter of opinion.

The apparent problem is what I think is "gorgous" and what you say is "gorgeous" arent the same thing
which is why numbers are the only things we can agree on.
what's an untrue bbw? Originally Posted by johnnyretard

I am Plus-sized, have a big belly (which I hate) and butt (which I love), could in no way pass myself off as "plump" or "bigger". I do have curves still, I'm not just a blob, but I'm certainly not the statuesque woman I used to be.
Curvy and thick are sometimes understatement for heavy or overweight. Many ads understate body size. Large is not my preference, but it's ok for others. Sometimes reviews will say something like "not quite bbw". That's a red flag for me. I just wish the ads were honest and pics were up to date. Some pics are many years and pounds ago. To each his own.

I agree, a BBW could lose 20lbs and not put a dent in their obesity

this picture lies, as with 68% of adults obese, normal is average which means results of statistical measurements related to groups of people. and the 1st pic should not be labled normal but the 2nd or 3rd pic should be normal

I have mine set on voluptuous. Not quite BBW, or at the very least a small BBW. I have all the right curves, a HUGE bust and I'm squishy and soft at a size 16, 38F. Think it describes me well, lol.

1.
conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected.

so nowadays normal is fat/overweight

if you are not fat/overweight, you are not normal

eh?
I think we all adopt a more appealing terminology to best describe ourselves.

I had BBW listed and a couple people said I don't fit that bill. I had curvy listed and I feel like curvy is nice curves but still pretty proportionate. I have a tummy and I think with curvy, people don't expect it because that's when reviews tend to say, "A bit bigger than I expected." I think volumptious works for me. Who knows?
I agree with Gemma, we all want to use the best thing to describe ourselves.
Wouldn't you find out best description in our reviews? Do your honework.
