I don't know if hell has frozen or not, but I do know the Saints are the World Champions!!! What a game, what a feeling of pure jubilation. For me the feeling has not stopped, I am still excited, going to parade this afternoon.
The parade was GREAT!!! Seeing Breeze smiling his ass off, along with the Bensons, Loomis, Payton, Colston, Thomas, Sharper, Greer, Bush, Shockey... It was an AMAZING time for NOLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to work at the Marriott tonight - not an easy place to get to today. Took an hour and half to get there, saw parts of the parade out the 3rd floor window and left right before it ended there, taking another hour to get home. Would have like to have seen the parade from the ground though. Looked like fun.
On another note, talking about records, this was the MOST WATCHED TV EVENT EVER with 106.5 million viewers, beating the previous record set by the series finale of "M*A*S*H" with 105.97 million viewers.
At 82.1%, QB Drew Brees now has the highest Super Bowl career completion percentage.
Most completions: The Saints' 32 and the Colts 31 make 63, the most ever in a Super Bowl.
Completion percentage: The teams' combined stats average at 75%, the best of all time.
Most 40-plus yard field goals: With 3, the Saint's Garrett Hartley takes the cake.
Oldest player: The Colts' Matt Stover, 42, now holds the honor.
The game also tied some old records:
Most completions: New Orleans' 32
Most 2-point conversions: 1, for the Saints' successful attempt
Fewest sacks, team: 0, for the Colts.
Fewest turnovers, team: 0, for the Saints.
Also, this was the 44th Superbowl, Obama is the 44th President, there were 44 days from Christmas to the Super Bowl, the Saints won the NFC Championship game in 4 minutes and 44 seconds in overtime.
