Poll: Who brings the "cover" ??

travelling_man's Avatar
I think the girl should have the cover. As others have mentioned, guys with a SO can't afford to be caught carrying one. I had a provider freak out on me one time and claim that since I didn't have any covers on me that I must assume she was going to do BBFS! (not posting the girl's name, but look at the Dallas alerts from a few months ago if you want to know)

She ended up doing a cash and dash because I made her "uncomfortable". After she left I found 10 rubbers in the nightstand drawer.....lol. I can laugh now, but let me tell you I was pretty pissed about it then when I was naked on the bed and she grabs a quick pair of shorts and tube top and jets out the door with my money.
Thanks, TM.

It was your thread that made me start this thread...

Just wanted to know the protocol and expectations around the hobby...

I haven't had much experience in the hobby yet but as a swinger I always provide the cover to make sure that it is in good working condition and not one that might have been damaged. I can only hope that a provider has no problem with me using my own for this reason or at least will let me inspect hers first.

The Lady should ALWAYS provide the cover. I would never ask a Guy to bring one...I think that if a Lady is advertising company and doesen't have the proper tools that is tacky to say the least.
Let's look at it from a different viewpoint: Who is most concerned about having a cover available?

Seems like both parties might consider carrying protection, but if the lady is advertising she provides sex, then would expect her to carry cover.

When I see ladies who are not advertising, such as massage therapist, I will frequently carry my own in case we get carried away.

I ALWAYS bring my own. Many ladies just dont have quart size sandwich bags just lying around.

I agree that the provider should provide the condom. But I usually have a couple of my own just in case. I had an agency girl call me while she was on the way to my place and ask if I had condoms. I was kinda new to the hobby and I was out of them at the time. I ran to CVS and bought some really quick. Since then I am always stocked up. Target usually has the 30 pack of Trojans for $12-15.

I also bring my own in case the lady uses spermicidal condoms or some weird brand. I use the ultra thin lubricated Trojans, it is my brand and I am not comfortable using anything else really. I don't like the spermicidal ones, because sometimes I switch back to DATY after I have already penetrated the love box. When you get that spermicidal lube on your lips or tounge it makes your mouth numb and you can't taste anything the rest of the day.

I believe that providers should provide them. It is a pain to try and pick them before a session and "stocking up" is not an option in my case. With that said it is better to be safe than sorry. I have had a run of providers recently that did not provide them and did not state so until it came time to saddle up. Difficult to turn back at that point, but even more difficult to explain the STD or HIV to the SO. Better to be safe than sorry IMHO.

I think it is the providers that should have them.
And they should have them in multiple sizes.
The only time I think a gent should carry them is
if he is allergic to latex.

just my 2 cents
