Its not what they know its what they can prove, and your statement proved it.

Getting an attorney, and one that specializes in criminal...not traffic tickets...is of course the best advice.

And, in the future, never, ever start talking....that's your right, don't let them make you feel bad or guilty by holding to that.

And for all of us in the hobby, have your attorney selected b4 these type of things happen.

And just a final thought, if any of us get into this bind....

Once you have established your right not to say anything...and you tell LE the name of your attorney who will be representing you...your attorney will make sure that ALL future correspondence (mail or phone calls) must come thru your attorney's office.

That way you don't need to be worried about them calling you at home or work. Plus
any mailings would be direct towards your attorney. And in a situation like this, a good attorney will make sure there are no subponea that needs to be served.

47 years that's a long time. I hope things work out for you, you have been given a lot of good advice...when I read a thead like this I offen wonder if each of us stop to think about if we are willing to pay the cost, and what about the girl. I'm guessing a number of girls get into trouble in this fashion.
