According to what I've been reading from other female porn stars on Twitter last night and today, they have complete say on who they will and won't work with. They can have a "no" list or even just a "yes" list where everyone not on that list is an automatic "no". They are not even supposed to have to give reasons why.

August Ames chose to exercise her right to only work with who she wanted to and she did say the reason why and got harassed mercilessly for it. I saw a Tweet where one guy told her to take a cyanide pill, literally encouraging her to end her life. Shameful (really beyond shameful but I can't think of a better word) and tragic.

I would be truly mortified to think something I posted online would wound someone deeply. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Very sad indeed.

I have been there I have let people get to me by what they say.

I have never seen August Ames, but it is a shame she did not realize there are people in the world who would see her life as valuable, and really care about her.
