Sounds like a good excuse to sneek away for some socializing at Hofbrahaus. Originally Posted by Looker151

Well Cocktober is over now, getting ready to get back that hour we lose in spring.
I'm prepping for hibernation since this winter is predicted to be a nasty one.
Thinking I'll hunker down at the cabin and live off the grid for a while.

Gym, work , narcos and any non fiction documentaries or movies , series with real settings and based on true events ( ex sopranos and north jersey , the wire and the Baltimore drug trade) fam and friend times are necessary as well.
and also JD straight with a cider chaser in one of a few dive bars ( alone time)
My JD is usually straight up or on ice with a splash of water.
It knows the way so it doesn't need to be chased.
Hiked a few miles yesterday, followed the atv trail up the mountain then wandered for a while, glorious colors in the trees, spotted the resident bald eagle.
Ahhhh, it's good in the woods

To those who like Jack, try Evan Williams. Not a bad bourbon, I really like the100 proof

If yinz want a quick bourbon buzz, get a bottle of Bookers. It comes in a wood box. It says 127-129 proof on the label. It’s a little pricey, around $80.00 a bottle. It’s far better tasting than JD or Evan Williams. It will fuck you up.

Hey Bambino, found a pretty good bourbon, brand is Buffalo Trace. Reasonably priced also. Not all of the state stores stock it though. Originally Posted by Looker151

This year, that's resulted in a George Stagg from the PALCB lottery, a Weller-12 from some fancy footwork in Ohio, and I'm hoping for another pull in the PALCB Pappy lotto. An existing bottle of pappy 15 (stizer-weller aged, frankfort bottled) is about kicked and I'm down to 1 unopened william larue weller.

My "this won't cause you to bankrupt yourself nor chase for months" bourbon call is Larceny. It's a wheater for those who don't drink Makers Mark and it's priced reasonably at about $30 in PA and a few bucks less in free states.
