Is it always this way in Wichita????

It might easily be a simple case of a misunderstanding but then again maybe not we will possibly never know. Even though discussion of rates is for the most part a no no it never hurts to verify the length of the session and it might not hurt to ask if the information on their site is current and accurate. It is a simple way to make sure that there are no misunderstandings.

We all do things different and with some if you schedule an hour then expect to pay for the hour regardless of how long you are there, but some those that offer a 1/2 hour session then some might only ask for that. It just depends on the expenses involved for the provider. I use to not offer a 1/2 session but now I do based upon the average time a hobbyist was there but that is just me.
I'm a little suprised that sweet Monique did that, but I don't place it outside the realm of possible. I have had a provider try that on me before and I refused. What's she going to do, refuse to not see her again? So what, why would you see someone again that did that you.

I have never cheated anyone and always verify the price up-front, when I come across someone that says she wont discuss rates then I move on, I'm not getting a product without knowing how much it'll cost. You don't want to get to a room without knowing how much, if you disagree on rates on site and try and leave, don't be suprised if a pimp comes to meet with you on your way out.
I'll answer any questions a prospective client may have, AFTER I screen them. That way everyone wins.
I agree upselling, overcharging etc is wrong, perhaps he booked an hour and thought since he was "done" in 20 that he should only pay the half hour rate. I don't know.
My main point was he was a newbie with no ref's etc and this could have been his "in" to the hobby with a verified provider to move on to more established local girls. The horror stories Ive read about newbies first time mistakes in no way compare to "I had to pay 50 more than i thought i would cause she saw I was driving a nice car" .

Maybe she saw your wallet was full.

I always make sure that I have the exact amount separate from any other cash I may have -- whether in an envelope or just folded neatly in a pocket. Most of the time I won't even bring any extra cash with me. So when she said it was $200 I'd be able to say "Oh, your Web site said $150 and that's all I brought."

Everybody can have bad days. Just because someone has a good rep with lots of reviews doesn't mean she can't be unfair/unreasonable with someone else.

This fella has given his side of the story and it sounds plausible to me. If the lady in question sees this thread, maybe she'll chime in with her side of the story.
Your right Jan, post 3 states he booked a half hour. mea cupa
I still stand by my main point though Hopefully the extra 50 will promote better research in the future. Not a very expensive lesson compared to the alternatives of most newbies.
I wish the OP nothing but the best and sorry his first wasnt what it should have been.
My experiences with Monique have always been very positive and I have found her to be a totally honest individual. After being a regular for quite a while, she is one of the few providers I have given "advances" to when she needed a little help, and she always "paid" them back with services at a future time. She has always been generous with her time, and not a clock watcher, and provides a truely memorable GFE. Whatever happened here, had to be some sort of misunderstanding that has probably gotten way blown out of proportion. I have no reason to doubt or challenge what occurred from the perspective of the OP, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to see Monique again based on this experience. It is the first time I have ever seen anything written about her that is negative.

It doesn't sound like lack of research was the problem. Monique has good reviews and a good reputation so I would say he made a solid choice when he chose her, whether it be luck or after a lot of research.

I've never met the lady. I tried to once but the timing didn't work out. If I ever try again, and I very well might because she has a good reputation and she's hot.

But if I do I'm going to make sure everybody involved has a very clear understanding of what the arrangements are.

One negative experience following so many positive reviews won't ruin a ladies reputation, IMO. But it should serve as a warning that things can sometimes go wrong in the hobby world regardless of how much care and research a person does.

Shoulda driven the rusted out beater car to see her. :-)
It works the other way around also. I live is a neighborhood that's past is not that great. (Gang violence in the 90's). Most providers say no right away or they increase there rate before coming out. Example. Hr for $175 turns into $200 or $250. or a $100 special turns into $150. It's like they want to collect an extra $50 for hazard pay :-(

To the newer guys here: Always try to avoid paying for services in the form of "loans to be paid back."

The hobby is littered with stories of men being ripped off and disappointed. Even relationships with ATF's have been ruined this way.

It's always better to pay for services and then getting the services right then and there.

The ladies don't play the "Let me have the session NOW and I'll pay you next Tuesday" game and the men shouldn't either.

I have been with Monique and she was my 2nd BP experience.
Everything went well as planned and I was very satisfied.
We went for the hr. I did receive her name from the reviews on this website and was not disappointed. Anytime you walk away cleanly I feel you have accomplished something. Jessies Primetime is another good service for simplicity and service. Law of averages with experiences always play out so you may have gotten a bad one over with.

My only point in even bringing it up is that in my experiences with her, she has always been an honest person with integrity.
