Have prices gone up everywhere?

My go-to is to purchase 90 min. sessions so I would normally have a solid 60 minutes of real massage with time to enjoy a value add.

U-Spa was $60 for 90 min. for the longest time. which allowed me to drop 5 Hamiltons for service and tip and stroll out without the headache of finding change or rifling through the wallet with the provider looking over my shoulder.

I don't mind tipping more for exceptional attention but I do mind paying more for mediocre service. Originally Posted by FozzyTheBear

Hello pkh, I thought I knew all the terminology and analogies on here haha, but HF has me and google stumped? Unless it's having fun? I hate asking these questions but now I'm just plain curious. Originally Posted by Oreo72

For straight massage, I usually drop 20 for hour and 30 for hour and half tip.

Prices have gone up in increments through the years. Seems like they are pretty well coordinated. Back in the mid 80's a 90 minute massage was $35 in Bellaire (Anna Beauty Design). Service depended on the girl and getting to know her, just as L0 shops today. FS in a modeling studio or tanning salon was about $60. Seems like increments were $5-10 for massage, and $20 for FS. This push from $160 to $200 definitely needs push back.
Too many lazy (or horny) guys that don't negotiate. This isn't just in AMPs, but also SC. PLUS some guys believe the woman will think we're "special" if we pay full asking price, when they really think we're suckers for paying full asking price.

I walk out and wait for them to chase me down in the parking lot and bargain works 7 out of 10 times for me

Even the CT prices went up, this might be a mistake in their part since the talent doesn’t justify it, IMO. I spoke to shop owner at HK Foot massage in HKCM, she was looking very nice yesterday, I had just spoken to her staff, they too feel the increase in HF is hurting the shop business, they said customers barely trickle in now as opposed to when prices were more affordable. I was there to check out a girl named Kelly, ain’t nobody there by that name and according to staff there hasn’t been, but that’s anyone’s guess, I didn’t stay for a massage, as I was leaving the owner walks in, nice greetings exchanged, mention is made concerning raised cost and slow business, she didn’t seem to focused on that right now, perhaps she’ll either think about lowering HF or improving talent on call. Shop used to be 40-45 per hour now it’s 60, IMO it’s a bit high and the lack of customers shows it.

We, as consumers should have an effect on the higher prices…places like HK and LZ foot are pretty run-down places with older than average talent. If we stop patronizing these CT joints and let them know $60 is too high for the area, maybe they’ll ‘see the light’ and go back to normal pricing…something like a 10 day organized boycott….just a thought.
I will boycott the Bellaire shops, why drive all the way there unless there is an advantage, either in talent or price. May as well shop closer to home.

I’ve said for years that if we were willing to get organized and do without for 30 days or so—prices would reach a more standardized $200-$250 rate…but alas, unionizing is hard to do. 😉

I’ll make some signs and we can protest in the parking lots….lol

Voicing our displeasure to the MMS and holding out can do wonders….
