thx soo much

i was also told it might be the catalytic converters..theres two and they stay hot to touch

I drive great on the highway w no issues...but after i get somewhere and tge jeep sits awhile, then when I try to go somewhere in town,it will start cutting out

maybe i need to get an old beater to drive lol
Hmm cutting out sounds like fuel pump. But really need better diag equipment than the auto stores have.

Converters get really hot, hotter than mufflers. There is a code for bad converter, P0420.

Dee,
As Roy mentions, it's time for a full diagnostic. Frankly, with more than a couple codes popping up, you may need a chip reset flash in addition to what's actually wrong. This is dealer type work. Send me a pm if .....

Most cars will reset just unhooking the battery for 10 min or so.

Real diag equipment ($1000s) can test individual components on a car, not just read codes. You can shotgun change parts on a car all day long and sometimes you get lucky. I do it if it is a cheap part and an easy change. Usually it is cheaper than paying full retail for the part and hourly labor rates + service writer commission....
Royamcr is right you can unhook battery and usually get it to reset, but you lose all presets on radio. It's easy to pull red power cable on battery, and easy to reset radio. I would try that first.

If you know of someone that has a better scan tool than Oreilly, they can reset and check codes. I have a couple of Snap-On scanners one older and a newer Solus. Unfortunately, I don't have any Jeep connectors took hook up to yours. Depending on what area you are in a mechanic shop might hook one up for a smaller fee.

I had an older Ford Ranger that did this. It ended up being that catalytic converter. You will have two like you said, and one can cause this with the other working fine.
