How much does location play a factor when you consider visiting a provider?

Good point. If you are driving 40/50 miles each way, it could easily take 3 to 4 hours of your day. Originally Posted by Brooke Wilde

And that defeats the purpose of going out, having fun, and getting relaxed. Just to sit in traffic with all the other assholes.
I think distance, and as or more importantly the time, it takes to get to a location is important. There are certain times of day that driving West on the Katy freeway, using the HOV lane is not bad. There are other times of day that virtually all lanes have a parking lot quality (think between about 4pm and 6pm on any given weekday.

I drive a lot for jobs all over the region, so I have gotten to know the roads and traffic patterns reasonably well.

Going waaaaaayyyyyy out West is not for everyone, and I think that the population density is less out that way, which, inturn, could negatively affect the number of gents in the general hobby pool. The city center is the most concentration of folks, with that number decreasing the further out one goes.

Having said this, if you want to go further out, by all means do so. I know some folks that live out the other side of Katy and they love it out there.

Whether of not a move out that way will negatively affect your business is a guess. As has been mentioned, there was a lady that was waaaaayyyyy out toward SA who had mongers showing up. She was a destination.

I think I may be the only person who does consider location above everything else.
In order to do this discretely I can’t disappear from for more than 1 hour without anybody knowing what am I doing, so it’s my top factor when making a decision on who to see.
And I also prefer providers that are more informative of where their incall is rather than name a whole area, or a street that runs across all neighborhoods in town.

Location is about #3 on the list. #1 - services. #2 - rate. Of course, I'm retired so it does not bother me to burn up several hours.

Distance is a major consideration for me, the Galleria probably being the epicenter for the Houston market. As the radius expands, I think the pool of clients would be limiting factor.

Absolutely makes a difference for me! I occasionally make an exception, but I do pick and choose who's closer to me over most anything else.
