2025 Steelers Season Thread

Poni didn’t report it. Adidi did. She’s been covering the Steelers for years. She has solid sources. Check the tweet again. She was on Poni’s show.

Here’s another one

I still think wilson will sign. I think fields is going to be too costly and if they give him big money, its going to be a mistake

seriously, they may think they are one or two players from a super bowl, i dont. i would like them to tank this year or trade tj for a number one and a two for next years draft and grab a future qb

Should’ve kept Pickett. Originally Posted by Jacuzzme

Is this equal opportunity.
If someone wants to use the excuse Pickett quit on the team why then didn’t other so-called malcontents didn’t get immediately traded or cut.

If you believe reports on X, Fields is staying and Wilson is going to the Giants.
... Need another QB?? ... Bring back Duck Hodges!
His pretty-bird is Lainey Wilson...
Show HER in the stands instead of Taylor!

And Duck can't be any worse than what the Steelers got now.
Just sayin'

I want you guys to read this if you would. I wrote up EXACTLY what happened to end the 1st half against Cincy.

Pitt 24
Cincy 21
We have ball at their 30 yard line
1st and 10
We get to line of scrimmage w 24 seconds to go in first half. WE DONT CLOCK IT!
Russ throws to Warren, Warren tackled at 16 yard line with 14 seconds to go.
DONT CALL TIMEOUT!!
DONT CLOCK IT!!
We screw around then call timeout with 3 seconds to go, send in field goal team and kick fg to end the half.
Coaching at its finest!!

Tomlin didn’t flinch. Strutted off the field like coaching malpractice hadn’t just happened.

Nothing changes with Rooney/Tomlin.
We've repeated this so many times it's surely like a
olde record stuck on the Victrola:

Artie Rooney has no interest in running his sports team.
He's just a figure-head, and NOT a very good one.

So, others run the show - allow Tomlin to manage the team
as he sees fit - and praise the mediocracy the team has become...

"Tomlin Won the Super Bowl with Cowher's players!" - is STILL the chant.
Somebody surely mentions it about every odd-day 'round here.

Funny thing - People were saying this TEN (10) Years Ago! ...
How has our team done in the last TEN years?? ...

As Char just mentioned - "Nothing changes with Rooney/Tomlin"...
Sad - but TRUE, mates!

Yes Salty, and if this would have been just about any other coach the announcers would have gone nuts! They mentioned how terrible it was briefly, camera pan to Tomlin acting like he’s waiting for a bus and that’s it.
No interview at halftime to ask him WTF. Nothing.
He’s Teflon Tomlin!
Here are four seasons: 2008, 2010, 2015 and 2016. Anyone care to guess what happened in these seasons, but not in any of the other seasons that Tomlin has coached the Steelers?

Well, if you guessed that the Steelers won a playoff game in those seasons, you’d be right. That’s right; Tomlin has coaches the team for 18 seasons and has at least one playoff win in only 4 of them. 4 for 18 — hell that’s not even a good batting average for an MLB player!

Cowher was 8 for 15, a 0.533 average - quite impressive, especially compared to our current coach’s 0.222.
... Too right, mate... And remember - there's the extra "wild card"
team that gets in now - and a extra 17th game to help ya make
the play-offs. ... Waaay back in Chuck Noll's day - a few less
teams in the league - but LESS teams making the play-offs.

Can't really compare it to now.

Very sad.

14 of 32 teams now make the playoffs, so making the playoffs as the seventh seed is pretty mediocre.
