Liberation Day in DC

It's about time somebody had the balls to stand up to the gangbanin', carjacking thugs that troll the city!
That place is a treacherous, no-man's-land, war zone when the sun goes down!
(Gangbangers, thugs, carjackers, drug dealers, muggers!)
You gotta be nuts to walk the streets at night! Originally Posted by victoryformation

Attempted carjacking in Washington D.C.. The strange thing about this particular thread is that there is no mention of BIG BALLS. There was a story that came out on August 5 mentioning that Big Balls was viciously beaten Sunday August 3 in an attempted D.C. carjacking in which in tried to intervene and play Superman. Now we see that Trump has put troops, FBI, and ATF agents on the streets of D.C. to help clean up the city. Gratitude for the youngster being a good samaritan in order to prevent a Grand Theft Auto style carjacking in the District of Criminals. The lad was outnumbered 3-1 and suffered a few bruises but otherwise survived the scuffle with only a few minor scrapes and bruises.

The actual truth is that 2024 crime stats that have been proved to be manipulated are lower than 2023. However, 2023 was the highest of two decades and 2024 is much higher than every other year but 2023.

My take on this issue.

1: Deploying the National Guard and taking direct control of the DC police under dubious circumstances does nothing but blur the lines between the Military and the Police. There should be a bright line between military action and police action. Having the military perform police action against US citizens is a bad idea.

2: The circumstances in which El Schitzenpants decided to deploy troops is dubious at best. He straight up lied to the american public about the situation.

According to data compiled by the Metropolitan Police Department, violent crime in D.C. is down 26% compared to last year. In January, federal officials also announced in that total violent crime for the last year had hit a 30-year-low.

3: Does anybody else find the timing of this announcement to be suspicious. This appears to be a distraction from the fact that Trump chickened out yet again over the China tariffs. They have been delayed yet again for another 90days.

If you had watched the press conference rather than venting, Trump said the National Guard will back the law enforcement components but are not cops. They can detain and protect only. Arrest and investigation are police functions.

Of course, you've drank a lot of Kool Aid and your TDS is likely to be permanent.

I don’t want to get to a point when it’s considered normal for the military to become the police. Because that’s the true definition of a police state.

The fact that some amongst us think that this is a good idea are the ones who have drunk the Kool Aid.

The timing of the announcement coincides with BIG BALLS trying to be a hero is what I get out of it but it could have bigger implications for what the future may hold. Practice for a future event that hasn't yet occurred.
