Backpage getting more bad news on CNN

This is an example of why BP is beneficial. It shows that LE can catch these bad guys and pimps. So why would we need to shut down BP. Isn't that counterintuitive?

Also, on the subject of BP not being safe to post: If you know how to screen you know how to avoid trouble. You might have to weed through a few but there are many great gents on BP. They are so desperately looking for a legit companion, that they most of the time become regulars and very grateful/generous when you turn them onto ECCIE.


I would also like to add that I have no problem with BP requiring age verification as other great advertising sites like EROS. However, if they required this they would be less likely to catch the predators.

I understand your point. In fact, I agree. However, it is a personal choice of mine not to advertise on BP. To do so would be misleading as I am not a " newbie friendly " lady. While i fully understand that all gents have to start somewhere....I am simply not willing to be their " start ". Simply and honestly put....I do not have the time nor the inclination to " weed through the few" ( I prefer to remain somewhat UTR and low volume) I don't accept employment verification as a reference either... Everyone should check, even double check references; that goes without saying. I am by no means against backpage or anyone who uses It. Also, I agree that shutting BP down would be foolish. We all have our personal preferences. My intent was merely to remind everyone to be extra careful and safe...

Did I miss the link? Who is saying they are and can take down BP? In order for them to take down a website, they first have to break a law, and it has been determined in several court cases vs. CL and BP that they are not breaking any laws. Craigslist voluntarily pulled their ads after a state led AG campaign, while BP gave them the finger.

There's some other site ( well hell there's a million sites, right?) called Adult Search too and I haven't heard anything yet about them. Now, about that other site escorts.com, why did that site get shut down? I never got any business from there and rarely ever checked it out but one day I logged on and it was just gone.
