any providers out here that drink Scotch?

Not a female but I am particular about my scotch. What I prefer is not cheap either but here are my preferences:

Glendronach 25yo - 1968/1993
Macallan 'Coilltean' - 1992/2004
Benriach 37yo - 1968/2006
Macallan 30yo - 1976/2006

When I want to step down in cost I will go with a Macallan 18/25 yr or a GlenFiddich 15/18 yr. I don't like the harshness of Macallan or GlenFiddich 12 yr but those are passable if one is on a budget.

When I drink SMS, I usually will have a good cigar be it a Romeo & Julieta Reserve Real or Flor de Olvia.
I am definitely on a budget sir. I make about 1/3 what I did 5 years ago and don't see any great strides in income coming around soon. Perhaps if I win the lotto I can go crazy with the liquor and some of the hot women I'm wanting to see. Tho then again I'm on life tilt so I may do some reckless spending sometime soon anyway.

Ugh. And still my date for tonight has not arrived... Grrr
No worries Bashful. The 12 yr old Macallan and GlenFiddich are good choices for anyone. I just have my druthers since I don't have the concern about spending. Have fun and stay thirsty...
I'm an avid scotch and cigar guy. I agree with Enderwiggin and SingleMaltScotch on all points. The best place to sample scotch in Houston is Downing Street at Kirby and Westheimer.

My favs are Balvenie, Glenmorrangie, Oban, Lagavulin, Talisker, Laphroig, Craggenmore, Ardbeg, Redbreast (Irish Whiskey), and many more. Many people like JW Blue but my opinion is that you can do much better at that price. The Balvenie 21 is an example. Everyone has a different palate and you'll need to find your preference. I won't criticize anyone for what they prefer.

18 yo is an optimum age but there are many value drinks at 12 yo. Price starts going up exponentially above 18 yo.

There is a new scotch available called Monkey Shoulder. It is a blend of Balvenie, Glenmorrangie and Kininvie. It is around $30 and is a great value.

Enjoy the journey. It is addicting.
Yes, I read an article mentioning Downing Street as one of the top scotch places in the country. I shy away from there as I'm likely to get into a fight and get thrown out of there if I run into a certain pair of brothers that oft hang out there.

I bought 2 more bottles tonight...not sure what I'm gonna do with the ones I don't like. LOL
I guess luckily I know alot of alcoholics.
