Proof the Republicans are Afraid to Win

They aren't "afraid" of winning they are "afraid" that if they do they'll be called to deliver on their promises for smaller government. By losing they get to keep beating their chests about "smaller government" while blaming the democrats for fostering the growing government. . . which they also love.

It's sort of like the democrats beating their chests about minorities and the poor, they don't want to actually solve any of the problems because they then have no talking points.

Neither party has fundamentally changed, the GOP's first president used the federal government to trample on the states. By his actions the dems could no longer buy people.
