Sometimes it is a surprise when we discover there is no "free lunch" afterall. It goes both ways, boys and girls.

Now, bee nice. (grin)

It's interesting to note the expectations of different folks. Some think affirmatively on "free lunch" and some think negatively. It's all a matter of perception and, yes, it certainly does go both ways.

I gotta agree with Lady Crystal on this. Her business is separate from their lunch date. If she offered to buy his lunch would he think it to be fair if she charged him extra at their next meeting? I don't think so. Originally Posted by JJones

Hmmmm... I always try to be nice and respectful and sometimes I even try to be charming and make a "date" with a provider more like a "date"... If I click with them I enjoy lunches or dinners with them... Those are off the clock IMHO. Everyone needs to eat and free meal (theirs) with someone you can talk to usually makes it more fun.

I'm still a little confused over the original post...
I was lost too, but I agree... What we do BCD is something totally different from a civie type date. I just went on a date with one of my regulars yesterday and he took me to dinner for the first time after. If he would have asked me for a discount because of the dinner, I would have gotten up and walked out. How rude!!
