Cold Calls

While I don't have the same issues that some of the hobbyists have with SO's since I am single but I don't mind an occasional pm if one of my ATF's is running a special or comes back to town or something of that matter but out of the blue texts or especially calls IMHO are unacceptable. Before I started hobbying I had this dancer that I saw once outside of the gentleman's club start blowing up my phone every couple of weeks wanting to know when I was going to see her again . All I could tell her was I don't know I am busy at work I will let you know. After a couple of times she finally got the hint. Then out of the blue she calls again this time with a different phone number I finally had to tell her don't call me I will call you!!

So in conclusion:

PM's OK (just don't expect a response)
Phone calls and Text not OK

Geez... How rude and what an impersonal and generic response... I've never PM'd a guy unless he's contacted me and I am responding to his message... I won't even text someone out of the blue... Not even when I have a number change... I mean, they know where to find me if they want to contact me... As for the texting... Some guys don't use a hobby phone (I think we all should.) and I wouldn't want my phone to start beeping off while I'm laying in bed with my S.O. I usually don't respond unless they start the conversation. Common courtesy y'all. Good morning everybody... I want coffee.

As far as PM I have never sent out a PM asking for a date. I have noticed since moving down here that some times Gents will hint to a date via a first PM but, not ask. I have received PM's before complimenting me, or giving me advice (puppies or allergies) and noticed that he may be or was hinting to wanting to see me. I brought it up in a very classy way and I was in fact right. That was also after lengthy conversation via PM. That is about as far as fishing for dates I will go.

IMHO it is not classy and it makes your look desperate. Not trying to be ugly again just my opinion.
