Best Places In SA?

The Medical Center area is your best bet. People can meet you during their lunch breaks and there is a plethora of restaurants, entertainment and hotels. Your second choice would be the airport area.

The Riverwalk is a great tourist attraction, but it is a logistics nightmare. Traffic and parking are a pain in the butt.

I hope that you enjoy your stay and have a wonderful time.

I haven't checked the site in a little while.
Thank you so much for the great responces.

I will check out a few of these places.

I went to the river walk area when I was a little girl but it has been years since I have been. I am very excited about my trip yay!!!

Does anyone know if there are any Live Theater or Plays or Emprov Events going on down there?

There are a number of theaters here in San Antonio. Best bet is to check the SA Current calender of events:

the link above shows the theater productions for the next week.

If you are interested in the other arts and have some free time durring the day, I always recommend a visit to the McNay Art Institute. It is not a large musuem, but they have an outstanding collection.

The riverwalk was recently drained for annual maintenance and was refilled on the 12th there will be festivities this weekend on the riverwalk, including the crowning of the Mud King and Mud Queen....haha

Enjoy your stay.

Pepper, I think SKF made the website up for the punchline to his post...

Now, back to your regularly scheduled program..
Yes, the .com.edu.org.net kinda gave the link away.
This is the age of technology - Though i wonder how many people actually clicked the link! lol.

As for my opinion on places, I'd recommend Medical Center (to hobby) as it is centrally located and Stone Oak to entertain yourself. Though downtown has it's benefits, unless you have a tour guide, it can be confusing, parking is a headache, and some of the people can be questionable. Uptown is more accessible and still has great eating place and *friends* to make, IMO.
