Whereas I understand your need for safety, and would be ok with giving you that info given your reputation, I will play Devil's Advocate for a moment.

You suggest the men have a double standard , but the argument could be made that your policy is the double standard. You say that men can research you through various means , but the double standard is that they won't give you info such as real name and work place with work number. However, the examples you give for our research include mostly means you could use too (except Tineye). If you are writing this rant to us , I assume you are referring to us as the culprits. I would think that a guy will at least give you his ECCIE Handle(or you wouldn't even know ECCIE guys are the culprits) , so you could check out his posts and reviews, ask your coworkers, friends, relatives as you say we can do. On the other hand, you are asking the guys for real life info to include name, work, and work number. Yet you are not giving us a real name, real work site for any other job you may have , and real job phone number. There is no review site for us providers on you gentlemen. There is no list of good or bad guys to be aware of like there is here on Eccie for us providers. In my experience it's a lot more rare for member to shy away from screening than BP guys. Some BP guys (mostly younger) give you EVERYTHING facebook, twitter, kik, skype, work... and others don't want to give anything. If someone doesn't want to give references, name, work info... I usually say good luck and just hang up or never reply. Yeah, there are some sites where all I have to do is type in the guys phone number and I can find refs/alerts and what not but he isn't worth doing that for if he just wants to play games.
That whole meet for coffee if becoming a huge issue. I don't have any time to mess around with that, I'm in town for short periods of time, usually have a pretty set schedule with prebooks, and that doesn't provide screening.
A detective in Cleveland got a ton of references just by taking girls to coffee, drinks, shopping, dinner, sex shops, strip clubs... then took down a ton of people in a big sting... no thanks. Because of these types of situations there are now warnings on verification sites because LE found ways around it by just doing meet and greets. Now when someone says they refuse to provide screening then invites me to something like that for screening after I tell them good luck it's a HUGE red flag to me because that has been such a common LE tactic as of late. I just put them in my phone as DNS Possible LE then upload them to an alert site as possible LE if they mention menus, p4p, or any specific questions. Originally Posted by Lexxxy

I won't see anyone that I can't screen and for those who don't agree, they are more than welcome to see another provider. My safety is more important than any amount of money.

If I was a woman , I wouldn't allow men into my home if they had no references , no Handle, no posting history , and no way to verify who they were either. Screening varies by provider. I have given out my ECCIE handle and that works for some. I am hesitant to give out personal information as we have all heard about a provider who will exchange it for leniency if they get busted. Also on verification, I am a bit uncomfortable having a provider I know vouch for me, in that my business will be going elsewhere. I could be wrong, but I am not comfortable asking for the reference. Recently, I was asked to text a picture for verification purposes, but I don't have the ability to send pics from my phone, so the meet was a no go. I did offer to e-mail via their BP ad, but that wasn't accepted by the provider.

A job reference is as easy as having a second cheap hobby phone and answering it with a company name. You have no quick way to know. After all hobbyists and escorts never lie to each other.

Ted Bundy was mentioned earlier, but he had jobs and I'm sure could of provided screening information.

I don't have an answer that. Does screening discourage enough weirdos and wack jobs to be worth the effort, possible. Will it protect you from the police doing a sting on low hanging fruit it, likely.

Does it present a significant barrier to aquiring new clients, definitely.

Would I give out my name and employment. I have, but then I have a common name and for years I worked as a manager for a company that hired a lot of entry level employees. There were a lot of people that would have had my name and phone number or that I would of called and couldn't tell you who they were or why a week later.


The problem there is risk in meeting someone either as a hobbyist or an escort and making it safer for one makes it less safe for the other.

if "no screenng" is not a real option, the provider is left with a difficult balance between prudence and business volume. Like I said,

You think I'm going to call an unknown cell phone number as an employment verification? Nope, not going to happen.

You are right, you never know what type of person I am going to be answering the door to, but none of us never know whether we are a provider or a gentleman. We do our research and we hope for the best. Nothing is guaranteed.

I would never be as dumb as to allow a cell phone to be used as an employment verification and to think I would is just ridiculous.

Like I said before, I'm not going to outline my screening process in a public forum to bore everyone, but I am a bit smarter than that.
As for my business, I would rather be safe than have a line of new clients waiting outside the door. I am low volume and I like to keep it that way. Not everyone who requests an appointment gets one. Safety is priority, not money.

There are all sorts of screening. Some are more intrusive and some are effective and not that intrusive at all. Some girls want your entire bio, while others are happy with your handle and a reference/voucher or two from VPs here or other escort boards. These can be very easily checked in a couple minutes.

Ladies are generally leery of newbies and longtime lurker members who seldom post and do little or no reviews fearing they are weirdos or undercover cops or both! Sure girls say there are all sorts of reasons these types give them for not posting or doing reviews but this doesn't alter the fact it raises red flags to many ladies who just want to be safe.
