Enjoy paying $6.00 a gallon. There's zero reason to be paying Russia, Iran, or anyone else to produce that which we possess. Originally Posted by texassapper

When demand is high and supply is short, gas prices will be high no matter where our oil is bought.

Here is a question for all you myth loving energy independent worshippers....

Should all the oil produced in this country be refined in this country and the gas only sold in this country?

What pisses me off is when people like Biden want to shut down the industry on federal leases in places like Wyoming, where people people overwhelmingly support the oil and gas industry and where many work in the oil patch. Not everyone in Wyoming or other states want drilling or pipelines run under their property. Why should say a Indian reservation be forced to have a pipeline placed on their land?

Federal land is not your land or my land, it is our land. Elections have consequences. Personally I'm not that keen on Spindletop 2.0 being next to Old Faithful.

But I'm a Realpolitik kinda guy and you can bet your ass that when our other energy sources dry up...surfers in Florida will be dodging oil rigs and your dream to dot our pristine federal landscape with oil rigs will come true.

Oh thems fighting words there...our Trump lovers here in this forum are big Putin apologists. Originally Posted by WTF

And you do all that because it lines your pocketbook. So tell us - how much did Putin's war boost your portfolio today? Got any numbers? E.g. "My energy holdings were up another $100k today. Thanks, Vlad!"

And you have the fucking chutzpah to start a thread accusing OTHER posters of being Putin lovers?

I realize our production in this country are market based not quota based.

Let me check...up around 25k today.

I bought energy back in 2020 and again in December...way before this invasion.

Are you one of those liberals that want to put a special tax on current oil profits.

You sound like a confused individual....are you wanting to come out of a closet?

Are you angry that you are confused about how energy transfers work

What is the problem you are having with oil companies making money?

The only thing you haven't done is define it! Because that would require a modicum of intellectual rigor which a simple-minded partisan hack like you lacks.
